Title: Wine shop
Post by: muskelband on December 12, 2008, 19:35:42 PM
A Wine producer/seller website:

http://www.pywinery.com (http://www.pywinery.com)

The website is divided into 2 parts:
1)A shop
2)An overview about the produced wine

It's not 100% finished. I have to customize the whole advanced search page of Virtuemart and modify some little things in the shop.

Oups... I forgot to remove some code into a page. The Website wasn't accessible with Internet Explorer! Now it's fully working!

Awesome store! I wouldn't even realize that was made with virtuemart or joomla. You did an awesome job changing the styles and making it look... hmm.. not cluttered, and very eligant.? I'm not sure if those are good wine words. I'm still 20. lol.

First, Sorry for the late answer & thank you for your comments.

The shop was completely updated at end February. I passed hours to customize & rewrites some modules & core components.

For example on the following page

https://www.pywinery.com/home/index.php ,

I have a module which sort latest products by month. (Latest products this month, last month, etc..)

I installed the SaferPay module for all credit cards transactions. I took it from there:
http://www.smartwerkz.com/confluence/display/WWW/Zahlungsmethode+Saferpay

But I had to modify it because it couldn't work directly after installation.

pcweb: publish products on the front page? Which page do you mean? This one https://www.pywinery.com/home/index.php ? Another one?

Nice shop, but your frontpage has broken images in IE7 and image reflection is not aligned in either FF or IE7. Just wanted to give you a heads up, not complain or anything. Great work with the store!

Scar, I've checked with Firefox 3 and IE7 and everything seems alright (alignement & images).

Can you send me a screenshot of your browser when you're visiting the frontpage ?

USD error on currency converter:

<b>Error</b>: Failed to retrieve the Currency Converter XML document.

Not on all products but I did notice the error on a few different screens.  Cheers!

Hi muskelband

You site pywinery.com looks great - awesome job.

One question - how are you feeding the images/photos and the @www.erobertparker.com reviews? Is there some service out there you can subscribe to?

Thanks for your help.

I also liked your site, very nice frontpage. Just think you have to start using some pictures for the produts.

And, yes, as the previous post... want to suggest you to use at least some informtion not just from "Vinho do Porto", but about all the wines Portugal produces. Just have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Portuguese_wine
