I'm pretty sure I stumbled across something that might be a bug here.

If you List Products >> Filter Category (category has some products that have child products) then click [ Item Information ] you will not be able to see the Child Products

If you List Products > then click [ Item Information ] you can edit child products.

In either case, clicking "Return to Parent" does not return to parent, but brings up New Product entry page.

In changelog.php file look for
* @version $Id: CHANGELOG.php 1364 2008-04-09 16:44:28Z soeren_nb $
