Title: Nightly Build Install Question...
Post by: RitchieTheBrit on February 22, 2008, 23:22:52 PM
Poss. noob question alert!

Is it possible to install the nightly builds without having to re-input the data each time?  Is there a guide somewhere I've missed?  Every time I try, there are major problems with the database like the one below...

Warning: getimagesize(C:/wamp/www/dvine//components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/category/resized/47b9b8372f5d8_90x90.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\wamp\www\dvine\administrator\components\com_virtuemart\classes\ps_product.php on line 1330

You can unpack the component and duplicate the directory structure, then ftp over the existing files. I have had some db errors on my localhost setup, but none on my remote server...

But it would be good if the db was not overwritten duing a re-install.

I unzipped the com_virtuemart_1.1.0j15 file. (NB 1286) in the component folder.
That gives me a lot of files (one of them a .tar file)

1. I don't know where to FTP these files to. Some are obvious, but it would take a long time to find most of them.
2. What to do with the folders mambots and modules in the unzipped file?
3. Am I correct that I only have to use the files that end with j15, when I use Joomla 1.5.1?

Thanks, G-J
