Hello All, I have been searching through the forums for a while now and have found them quite helpful. Thank you!
However, I sitll have this questions, on which I get conflicting answers from in the forum.
Should I get an SSL or Not? Here's my situation
1. I use Authorize.Net for my Payment Processor
2. I unchecked the box to Store CC Information in Virtuemart because I do not want to store it
Are my customers still at risk if I do NOT get an SSL and keep everything the same as today? I want to ensure I'm doing the right thing for security purposes of my customers information.
In an earlier post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=27169.msg75586#msg75586 (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=27169.msg75586#msg75586)
Its mentioned that you DON'T need an SSL Certificate if you are using Authorize.Net and not storing info.
Then in another post http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=31288.0 (http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=31288.0)
It says that you do need an SSL Certificate
Can someone shed some light on this?
Thanks very much for your help!
For customer's peace of mind is better to have, I when shopping always check for SSL, if a site doesn't have I don't shop.
Thanks! That's the way I am leaning as well! :D
