I have just installed the new virtue mart 1.1 revision 1144 on Joomla_1.0.12-Stable and got this error please see attached file. all other revisions installed ok before!!!
This was a fresh install of joomla and virtue mart.
Please advise!!!

That has been fixed.
As for the error you reported it is PHP4 issue http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=27626

In VirtueMart 1.1 revision 1133 this was still not working.. so as far as I can tell this has not been fixed.
As for the this error in this post thanks for in lighting me as to the problem!!!
It is always best to use the latest build ;)
The error should be fixed in rev 1155, could you please check it and report back, I don't have php4
