Title: Improvised Wishlist Functionality
Post by: Gideon Newell on October 24, 2007, 15:39:24 PM
This customized installation of VirtueMart facilitates sales for pricier products (home decor items) by listing all prices as zero- the checkout process collects no credit card info, but rather sends the 'Wishlist' to the shopkeeper at checkout, who then follows up with an in-home sales visit to the customer, bringing wishlist items along.

I'd be grateful if you could visit the site and complete a quick 5-minute feedback survey ($25 gift certificates offered as prizes to 3 random respondents).

Thanks!

Gideon,

Great idea to setup a survey to get real feedback to show your customer. Site looks great. The idea of website clicks and then a visit could fit other retailers.

Am new to virtuemart. Some thoughts that I should have put on survey - was awaiting a general comments question.

Would it not be better to remove the price completely? The $0.00 jumps out at me. Perhaps old and cynical that you never get anything for nothing.

I did not 'checkout' with my selection, its a long haul flight for the visit. Does the user go on to select a time and date for the visit? Would be neat.

congrats,

David

I would use a FAQ extension (http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,listcats/cat_id,1775/Itemid,35/) for FAQ section.
