If I were being honest here i'd say that you might want to look into some of the rockettheme style templates to give you a head start on a more enticing look for the site =) It's a great start though the text writeup and such are perfect!

I agree. Rocket Theme is a good start. I'm about ready to re-up my RT subscription for its latest contribution. I spent approximately four hours last night attempting to slightly modify an older template that was more a hack than anything. Once you learn the well-formed and logical RT template code, modifying templates is easy.

As for my first bit of advice, give your customer somewhere to click on the front page - actually provide them several graphical/text/alt-text clicks on the front page that leads to each of your categories.

There are a lot of references to your email address and none of them are hyperlinked i.e. via the mailto: function - is there a valid reason for this?

As others have said, consider replacing the homepage with the shop i.e. product categories?

Yes. It may be best to simply rely upon the e-commerce segment or the contact forum for points of contact.
