I want to add one extra field in the Standard Shipping Module to have a 0 cost for ammount over 100 euros, could this be done?

I want it in the standard because in the infos of Virtuemart I m getting also the choise of the standard shipping module and to the free shiiping choice, so it s a little bit silly.
So any suggestion how to hack the standard shipping module ?
