I'm building an e-commerce with Virtuemart 4.4.4 and Joomla 5.
I need to create a lot of product categories with subcategories and also many sectors (and applications) related to those products, like this site: https://www.nils.eu/en/products/ (https://www.nils.eu/en/products/)

So in this site Products and Sectors have same level, but I can filter also products per sector and vice versa.
For example, on the Oils page, I can see all products related to this category, but also only those related to the Coolants sector (https://www.nils.eu/en/tipologia/oils/ (https://www.nils.eu/en/tipologia/oils/)).

How can I do a menu and filter for related categories with Virtuemart?

I think you will need to assign your products both to categories and additional properties (e.g. sectors) by using custom fields.
I would use a filtering system like Custom Filters for filtering based on more than 1 properties.
