After you updated your VIrtuemart to the next version the cart went crazy like in this image

Don't worry, the solution to the problem is very simple
- go to Virtuemart configuration from the administrative panel
- go to the template tab
- set the layout to default , not bs5

and your cart will work perfectly again ;) 8)
Thank you for your nice screenshot. Yes this happened because I set the layout to bs5 for updaters. The idea was that people have anyway overrides. But it was not the best idea.
Some shopowners said "ouh, nice, now vm fits in my template", but others got trobule like you. The error is reverted, now only bs5 for fresh installations.
