Hello, is it possible that you add search products by manufacturers to the core?
This option was present in configuration in VM3 but there is no checkbox for manufacturers in VM4.2

Do you have a screenshot of search by manufacturers? Frontend or Backend? Which configuration?
Option was in Sort & Search tab. This is the change that removed it https://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/virtuemart/repository/virtuemart/revisions/10716/diff/trunk/virtuemart/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/models/product.php (mf_name commented out).
