Title: Issue with pagination when menu is assigned to 'Top level category'
Post by: sagaranvekar on March 28, 2023, 16:50:19 PM
Hi,

VirtueMart 4.0.12 10777
Joomla 4.2.9

I migrated a Jooml3 + VM3 website to Joomla 4+VM 4 on a staging server.
Migration was smooth.

Shop is in catalog mode.
I have a menu called 'All items'. It is a category layout menu. In 'Select a Category' dropdown, I have 'Top Level Category'. Which means no actual category is selected

I have same thing on J3-Vm3 and pagination works flawlessly.
But on J4-VM4, it only loads first page. Clicking on second page or any other page link on pagination takes me to homepage.

Pagination works fine on other category pages where menu is assigned to particular category.

Any help will be appreciated.

I resolved this issue by creating a new top level category and making all existing categories as child categories of that category.

Pretty sure this is fixed in VirtueMart 4.0.16 10812 - there are some further routing issues solved in this release as well
