Title: Product Category selection box for selection not displaying

Joomla V3.10
VirtueMart 4.0.6 10690
PHP version: 7.4.33

I am unable to either modify a category for a product or enter a new product and select a category. Please see the attachment.

the category select is fetched by ajax ...  I would suggest you have an error which is corrupting the return ..
Check your console for the call and return

 The data is being returned by Ajax and there is no error but the  status isn't being set to display it.  What would cause that?
