Looks like jquery chosen got not loaded. Usually it is loaded, but it can be disabled, depends on the used template. So check your settings in vmconfig, shopfront.

Adding chosen now removes the error, thanks.
However the sorting still does not work.
Any other idea?

We just upgraded to v4.0.6
- this fixed the reviews issue
- this caused an issue with adding to the cart
- sorting of the products does not work as pointed out above.

Any ideas where we need to look to fix this?

vm4.0.6 is well out of date now
