Usually when there's a new VM version, I see the notification in Joomla Control panel, but there's no notification for new version 3.8.6 that automatically recommends the upgrade. Is there a reason for this or can we simply install the 3.8.6 version over the old version?
I think Max leaves it a few days after the release before updating the notifier so the early adopters ( Guinea pigs? - just joking ) can try it and some feedback of any problems if any is generated...
There is a large user base with endless different configurations, addons and templates so there could be some nurgles..
Of course the release is heavily tested by the team before release but you never know.
It can be installed like all releases by the normal Joomla installer routine
Thank you, I guess I'll wait and not upgrade active shops until I see the notification.
Best to test yourself and not rely on others !!!
