Hello, in my shop, every time a product is added to the cart, the same product (carpaccio de lomo ahumado) appears in the shopping cart instead of the choosen one. When deleting the carpaccio, then the original product shows up. How can I fix this problem? I tried attaching a .mov file to show the problem but that format is not allowed, in any case you can try for yourself and see what I mean.
Thank you,

System Cache plugin is disabled. Cache settings in Global Configuration is disabled

You can add gif - on my macbook pro I use screensaver, save as mov, use GIF Brevery 3 for convert to GIF and put inside posts, documentation, description :)
1. Put inside cart a couple of different products - don't use link Go to cart inside popup
2. After this action open this URL - https://www.jcmackintosh.es/tienda-online/cart.html - without language
3. You see all products in cart with right result (attachment)
Resume:You are wrong with multilanguage setup
Go back and fi it - look for mutilanguage language setup joomla (plugin, menu...), look for setup menu for cart...
Thank you Pinochico,
GIF Brevery 3 is a paid app, just for this purpose I don´t feel it is necessary to buy this app. The problem is easy to find. If you add to the cart any other product from my shop apart from "Carpaccio de Lomo" and proceed to check out, you will find ONLY "Carpaccio de Lomo" in check out and not the selected product. Once you delete "Carpaccio de Lomo", then, and only then, the selected product shows up. This is not cool. What could be the problem?
My site is multilanguage, so getting rid of that setup is not possible, and the purchase process you suggest is hardly the way any user will proceed to buy, it is not an orthodox procedure.
the problem is repeatable but I don't have an answer except to try and understand what pinochico means..
the lang setup must be wrong somehow in your install
if u as he suggests add to cart .. ignore the popup and access then the cart by https://www.jcmackintosh.es/tienda-online/cart.html ( without lang) you see the cart contents are correct
if u refresh the cart or change quantities etc the cart becomes https://www.jcmackintosh.es/tienda-online/cart.html?lang=es but still with the correct entries and products
have you made a proper Joomla menu to the cart in the Spanish menu .. displayed or hidden.. doesn't matter
a proper Joomla menu to the VM etc etc?
There is something wrong with your menu/lang setup
My procedure (see last post) is not a procedure for how the eshop should behave == to use, but only proof that you have an error in the settings:
1. I'll put 8 different products in the cart
2. After each addition to the cart, after clicking from the Go to Cart popup, I see only one product in the cart per URL with ES language
3. But if after completing the shopping I go to the URL of the cart without ES language in the URL, I see the correct cart with all my added products
So you have an error in the multilanguage settings
You probably caused this already at the beginning of the work, I don't know, you don't provide any relevant data.
P.S.
By the way, if I use multilanguage on e-shops, in terms of SEO
- I don't use the HTML suffix
- I don't use the language constant after the question mark
I can't convince you in one sentence (it's not even the goal of this discussion), but try to find relevant information about SEO, why I use it that way, and finally decide for yourself what is better
This is very bad news. I have been playing with the multilanguage feature and the menu set up, but sadly I haven´t found a way to solve this problem. After all the hours spent in setting up my VM I find myself stuck. I am thinking that it is going to be much easier to move my shop to Shopify or similar. I can´t spend so many hours with cero results. My client won't take it. Please, don´t take me wrong, I´m not saying it is VM´s fault, I know it is not, but that does not change a bit the situation. I need results and this problem is giving me more questions than answers.
Then make an informed decision.
How long to start over with Shopoify ?
What will it COST you in man hours and expenses ?
Will this be cheaper than hiring studio42, GJC, pinochico or Max to help You ?
See this as "learningmoney".

as Jörgen says....
it has to be some basic config mistake you have made ( you give zero feedback to my questions!!! - it is hard to keep helping you if your feedback is NULL) because no one else has these problems yet you want to throw everything out and start again!!!!
If your car wont start, you have expended all your knowledge but still it won't start do u then dump it and buy another car or do u ask a mechanic to have a look at it?
Thank you guys, I´ve been giving it another chance while I´m working on plan B.
HTML suffix is turned off in Global Configuration, but only in the VM URL still shows, followed by the language code. Ony in VM. In all other pages of my site, the language code is after .com/ and don´t have the HTML suffix
As far as VM is concerned my site is single language, as you can see from the screenshot attached.
Multilanguage language setup in joomla is correct as far as plugin and menu.
I have a Joomla menu to the cart on the Spanish menu.
If there is any other relevant info you are missing I´ll be happy to provide it. Thanks for your help and patience.
if it really is a single lang site there should be no lang code anywhere in the urls
there should be no "spanish" menu .. just normal menus with all langs
see for example https://www.maisonmarcella.nl
Joomla lang plugins should be unpublished
It is a multilingual site, but only VM is in the spanish version. We don´t sell internationally.

then you don't understand how function multilanguage joomla and VM site and then you can't be surprised. that you make the problems yourself

No it not. I don't see modul for language change
Quotebut only VM is in the spanish version
No, it not, I try URL with en and I see cart in EN language
Ok, so here is a challenge for studio42, GJC, pinochico or Max. If any of you think you can solve this problem please give me a quote and I´ll hire you to do the job. Thank you.

I take it that you don´t mean to sound arrogant, it is just a language thing, right?
Please see screenshot attached for location of model for language change.
It might work doing it manually. VM store is not linked from any of the other languages menu.
Oh men, your shop are changed?
In posts you said - I have only ES and EN and only in ES I have shop.
Now I see you have full multilanguage website and shop with wrong setup for languagies.
Yes, my client send my half informations too, then next they are supposed why my work is longer and money for paying is bigger :D

My shop has not changed at all, not since I started this topic anyway.
Where in my post did I say I have only ES and EN? I never said that, my site has had 4 language since the beginning, at least 3 years ago.
ok, my mistake, I use the url from post (ES) and when I don't see modul language on top, then I think you use only ES for shop and ES for web and EN as hidden.
Is not visible for me from URL.
The language modul on top was visible full 3 years?
Little bit tricky, VM wants to be single language. The rest multilanguage. Should be able to do this with some careful settings. Have not set Up My shop like this, so I do not have any good advice to give. Just analyzing the setup for others to see.

Ok, thanks to GJC Web Design I was able to solve the problem. For those who might encounter the same issue, basically disable any 3rd party SEF exension and make a hidden menu to the cart. Very happy with the result, thanks John. ;)
Great to hear.
This is actually what I meant with my earlier post. This would probably be a small isssue compared to start over :)

Basically we use enable 3rd party SEF extension, maybe is not for everyone
