Title: Country and State of Default Shopper Group
Post by: MSR_Web_Guy on March 03, 2020, 19:55:41 PM
When I go to a Product/Product Information tab, I see the following heading:

Product pricing (you are in shoppergroups: Default Shopper Group)(Country: USA)(State WAS)
(Assuming similar for the Guest Shopper Group too?)
Running VirtueMart 3.6.10 10211 in Joomla! 3.9.15. Thanks.

Isn't it the country/state of the logged in admin?

Thanks - that sent me in the right direction. Didn't realize that I had to update my info as a "Shopper" - thought that Country/State were referring to the Shopper Group.
Once I set my Bill To Information in the Shoppers/[user]/Shopper Information tab (since I hadn't actually bought anything myself while still setting it up), it now shows up correctly. :D
(Also solves the question of why it didn't say "Guest" Shopper Group - because I am logged in!)

Seems strange, though, that this would pop up on a Products page in the first place - why would I care which Country/State the User is from, as only Admin-type Users would be able to get to that page, and would only ever see their country/state? I can see the need to adjust pricing, taxes, shipping, etc. based on a user's location, by adding the various rules. But I won't ever see any other country/state but mine, unless I make multiple Admin/Users with fake addresses...?

Its one means of testing your settings ( take 2 sec to change your country in the shop user) but it is more for information..
so you know why you are seeing the prices you see.
