Hi,
I'd like to offer the possibility to pay some products in 2 or 3 times.
That would be automatic direct debits. No mortgage.
Is it possible?
With PayPal?
Thanks for your help
Paul
What do you want for an answer ?
Yes or No ? AFAIK no.
Have You contacted PayPal, if it is not possible with paypal then it is not possible with VM without some customized coding.

Sure, I'd prefered the Yes answer... :-[
I'll contact PayPal on Monday to check.
But would you know any other payment solution that permits several payments for a single product (with automatic direct debits or not)?
::)
would help to know where you are!
I have done a payment plugin for AfterPay Australia .. I assume the other countries have similar offers
https://www.afterpay.com/
https://docs.afterpay.com/
The store is located in France...
For what I see, your plugin doesn't seem to cover this country.
:(
Its not a case of "my plugin" -- it is a case of you doing the basic groundwork to find a payment gateway in France that offers this sort of payment plan..
THEN you start looking for a VM plugin or developer to build one.
Or are you looking for a VM system that simply sends out e.g. 4 equal invoices/payment demands that the client can pay by what ever method .. direct debit etc?
The problem with that is without manually checking you have no way of knowing if they have paid.

Have you verify if alatak.net do not provide a solution ?
Pour virtuemart c'est ici https://alatak.net/extensions/virtuemart/paiement.html
Sorry for my late reply.
And Thank you guys to help me.
Yes Patrick I have been in touch with alatak.net
I thought to have found a solution with their plugin "Offline Credit Card Processing" that collects credit card information online to manually process them offline. But unfortunately it's not usable in France, where this king of payment isn't allowed.
Later I thought also to have found a good solution with PayZen. But if their plugin allows the payment in several times, it's ruled by time between payment: we set the number of payments and the number of days where the next payment will be done.
So it's not working in my case where I need to do the second payment the day of the event, whenever the first payment has been done...
:-(
Still seaking...
