Title: after update to vm 3.6.4 product search raises error 1104

Hello,
after updating virtuemart from 3.6.0 to 3.6.4
the search box on my shop frontend does not accept any product searches:
It shows error "1104 The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows...."

In backend the same search on the products does work as before.

Does anybody have a suggestion, how to fix this?

Hello,

could you give some more information on which search field that is. mod_virtuemart_search or other or third party.
Some of us tried that just now and there were no issues.

Are there any special extensions installed, a high number of products or custom fields or anything similar?
More info on the shop could help identify the problem.

Hello Stefan,
thank you for your feedback.
Installed: Horme 3 Virtuemart Template, but the error occurs using the standard virtuemart search module.

Number of products: 7000 published, internally (non-published): 40000

Just tested the upgrade to virtemart version 3.6.6:
The problem persists, I can insert any word in the search box and error 1104 appears.

Hopefully, the info above could help to identify the problem.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Hello all,
I could get rid of the 1104-error by applying "Repair & Optimise Tables" from Akeeba Admin Tools.
After the optimisation the search box operated flawlessly as before.
