Title: Product Category issues [solved]

This is driving me mad and I need to resolve this urgently as I'm supposed to be migrating a huge Mijoshop / Opencart e-commerce shop to VM next week!
When editing a product the category is not displaying so I can't set the category for any products.

Console is reporting this error:
TypeError: n.fancybox.defaults is undefined

Looking at your image there is something wrong. You should only have one category set for canonical (it is not logical to have more than one) - in current versions only one cat can be set there as it is a drop down select, and you have scroll arrows for manufacturer/producer, they should not be there (see pic below).

I have never seen that error before, but js errors are usually due to not loading jQuery before it is needed by other scripts or loading an incorrect version.

The cat dropdown is fetched by ajax so if u have a JS error in the admin there is every chance the select will not be populated.
So 1st you need to fix the JS error u quote

If you really dont find a fix, my component Vm Be pro can help you to import products and category, or mass add categories to product.

Note that in new release you can mass copy & move from one category to another

You have a JS error in the admin page - it needs sorting out - try using ISIS template in admin - if you are not already doing so

RESOLVED THANKS ALL
It was Simple Image Gallery Pro in the end that was causing the clash / JS errors.
