I just checking the progress of new VM and looking very good. Its seems to reach momentum finally also with Joomla great CMS progress. :) But now its also a lot of new competitors out there.. :-\
I also compare to other ecommerce solution on the market and see that ecommerce like Shopify also progress a lot and maybe there is a lot to learn from these competitor analysis as well to promote VM & Joomla together bulding web sites + ecommerce? ::)
Example what you expect and can do with for example Shopify /www. shopify.com/ website
Does it make sense to compare?
You have prestashop, woocommerce and other shopping cart. You must know that shopify do not give all the freedom of Virtuemart & Joomla , they host your shop.
Naturally it makes sense for VM devs to check the feature set of the competition once in a while.
For users it only makes sense to compare solutions to pick the right one for the job. in regards to Shopify and VM they are really far apart in both price and freedom so that ought to be an easy choice for most people.
