I'm not sure if I am missing something, but was wondering if someone can help.
I have a category and I would like to add some text beneath the products on the main category page. E.g. I have product 1, product 2, product 3 which shows in category 1. If I then wanted to add some text at the bottom of the category, but only on the category page and not the products page is that possible?

Edit Your template for the category or the categories file and add the text You want. You could also add module with the text in Your Joomla template and lock this to the category view, but that probably needs the module manager from Regular labs. I use this, but it is Your choice.

If You do not have any override for VM category, go to Your Joomla template and choose Create Overrides (This is probably best explained by a joomla tutorial, GOOGLE)
Then choose com_virtuemart ->category to create the override file.
You can edit the files in Joomla template management but often better to edit the files under
templates/your_template/html/com_virtuemart/category/
Probably the categories.php file or the /sublayouts/categories.php
Add som echo lines to see what comes where :)
