Print Page - new additionnal customer field

Hi, Just wanted to double check if I'm not missing something
I created a new customer field ( dropdown list, single choice)
I checked the mandotory button.
-> I have the star which demonstrate that it is mandatory in the form .... but I can submit without any problem ...
Checked on the forum , no bugs or no issues .... what am I missing ?
