Hello, we were using VM 3.0.18 on joomla 3.6.5. We decided it was no longer needed and tried to uninstall it. We followed the process found in another thread here but it didn't work completely. The Virtuemart AIO still shows up in our Update list. When using the Joomla Extensions Manager and trying to uninstall the VM AIO we get the following:
Warning
JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/sitename/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart_allinone
JFolder: :delete: Path is not a folder. Path: /home/sitename/public_html/components/com_virtuemart_allinone
Component Uninstall: Can't uninstall. Please remove manually.
And that makes sense because we followed the instructions and removed those directories. So why does Joomla still think that we have VM installed and wants us to update it? How do we make this go away once and for all?
Anyone?? This is still a problem.
So the update site still appears in the list on yoursite/administrator/index.php?option=com_installer&view=updatesites ? Try deleting it from there. I have seen similar reports with other extensions, and one user ended up deleting the update entry in the ##_update_sites table using phpMyAdmin. Hopefully Joomla 3.7.x updater is more reliable.
