Hallo,
nach dem Abspeichern der Konfiguration ist trotz angehakter Checkbox \"Enable smtp authentication?\" diese wieder disabled. Die Felder \"smtp host, smtp user und smpt pass\" wurden ausgefüllt. Muß ich da noch wo anders in der Konfiguration etwas einschalten?

Ok, es hat sich erledigt.
Die Lösung steht schon hier im Forum. Amarok hat mich mit der Nase draufgestoßen.

Hi...I have the same problem with the smtp not being checked when I refresh the page.

Check if configuration.php has write permissions. If it has but you still cannot enable it via the checkbox then try to set it manually (set value '1' i/o '0') in configuration.php.
$mosConfig_smtpauth = '1';
Since this is a MOS-Setting you could also try your luck on www.mamboforge.net forums.
