Does VirtueMart has a monthly subscription option that can be used for tutorials? Can you sell downloads?

I know this is an old topic, however I am looking for something very similar. I want to setup a subscription product in Virtuemart that will create a recurring payment (payments to be processed by Authorize.net) and would subsequently change the shopper group to a Pro membership level.
*Think of Amazon Prime membership but annually renewable*
Any help, or if anyone has a plugin / extension that is half way there, please PM me...
