Title: Virtuemart 3 imposes a tax, which I do not want
Post by: Surfteahupoo on December 05, 2016, 02:45:33 AM
Hello dears. Wishing you well, I want to tell you that I have the following problem.

I am entering prices for the products of my store.
The problem is that a base tax is displayed. I do not want it to show a base price.
Cost price: 5000
Base price: 5294 <---- I do not want this tax 294
Final price: 5294 <--- which should be 5000

1) I have the option DO NOT APPLY RULES, Elected.
2) Eliminate all tax rules and calculations.
3) Just leave the coin Chilean peso

But I do not know what else to do, please help.

Virtuemart versión 3.0.9

Hello

You are using an old and insecure development version. If this is a live site, please back up and prepare for an update to 3.0.18 on a local machine and update Joomla to 3.0.6.4. You also have to adjust Your templates after upating to 3.0.18.

regards

Thanks for answering.

I have updated to the version of virtuemart 3.0.18 indicated and my joomla 3.6.4 also.

But I still apply a tax that I do not know where it comes from

Attached catches.

Create a new product, trial

But I still have a tax.

I need the price is not charged with any tax.

Final price must be 20000

That looks like it could be a currency conversion.  Your cost price is set in Chilean peso. Is the shop/vendor currency also set to Chilean peso? If not then it will be converted into the price for whichever is the store currency.

Hi, my dear.

I have all the coins unpublished.
I only have the Chilean peso currency enabled

I have all the countries disabled
I only have chile enabled

My user is from Chile.

Maybe I'm missing something else. I am a beginner at Virtuemart.

Is this a quickstart install?

or a nice clean Joomla then VM then template install?

It is a template that I bought in themesforest.

Install the quickstart, hoki template. Belonged to the company dasinfomedia

I tried to ask for support, but they told me that's a personalization and they want to charge me.

I have replied that it is a template error, this was 5 days ago and I still have no response from them.

I am very disappointed that I pay for the template.

Hello

Try to add a VAT rule (0%) and use this and see if the tax disappears.
Try to add Another calulation rule (0%) and add to the price calculation if the first does not succed.

This looks strange. If this does not work then Jenkins may be right about some currency mixup.

Why not do a second fresh Joomla/VM install and add the template?

This is why quickstarts shouldn't be used.. you already have a vendor id problem and this.. the day(s) you have wasted would have been better spent on a fresh install

Hi, thanks for replying

I had to return the template to joomla 3.6.0 because updating did not work some modules.

And virtuemart back to version 3.0.9

I create a tax and apply it to the product. But nothing happens.

He continues to apply a tax that does not know where it comes from.

But Joomla 3.6.0 is wildly unsafe and open to hackers.. it cannot be used on a live site!!!!

you would be far better off with a fresh install and a proper professional template  .. e.g  https://www.olympianthemes.com/

a bargain at €20!

and the guy that sold u the template won't help? (name and shame perhaps?)

if that is the case you need to recode the template to solve the problem..

compare the stock templates with what u have and make the necessary changes

Here I hit you an email that I got from them 6 days ago.

My English is not very good but I understand that they want to charge me 40 dollars and they will do it in 2 days.

Hello,

Thanks for purchasing Hoki. We are ready to help you any time. It's a customization task to make changes with default hoki product page. We will do it within $40 and 2 days.
