Title: How to use an additional currency in a shop?
Post by: papakota on October 18, 2016, 14:39:28 PM
Hello!

Our shop's main currency is US dollar, since we sell most stuff (services) to international clients. Nevertheless, some stuff we sell locally and it's not in dollars. The problem is this:
In a product page we set a price in a local currency, but then it's automatically being converted to the main store currency, so when a shopper puts the product into the cart, he uses dollars. Inside the card the payment module converts it back to the local currency. But the new price in a local currency slightly differs from the original one that was set initially during product creation. So my question is if there's a way to solve this issue?

It will most likely be due to fluctations in the currency exchange rates provided by the ECB. You could fix your own exchange rates. See  http://docs.virtuemart.net/faqs/93-how-can-i-define-my-own-currency-rate.html
