Hello there,
I use Joomla 2.5.x (latest version) and Virtuemart 2.6.10.
When i go to add product to cart from category layout, product is added to cart normally but when i go inside the product's page and click add to cart, when the popup shows up in the console of Chrome i see this:
Uncaught Error: Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [type=text/javascript],not([type]) in file jquery.min.js at line 2.

And after this if i click on go to shopping cart, i go to cart and product is not added to the cart. Any ideas about this?

Generally i use jQuery plugin.
I just noticed that if at settings i select for option Disable When Possible the value Yes, then add to cart works just fine but in console i get errors like these:
modal.js:20 Uncaught ReferenceError: Hash is not defined
djselect.js:11 Uncaught TypeError: window.addEvent is not a function
same for 2 js scripts inside template folder and for djmegamenu.js file
But generally add to cart works just fine. Does anyone knows if those errors could be important for the operation of the site or if i could set it up in order for me to have operational add to cart and no faults at console?
why are u using this jquery version?
The version bundled with VM2.6 is jQuery v1.11.0
also your VM version is way out of date - latest is 2.6.22
