You should be using VM3.0.16 or later with J3.6.2
thanks for the quick reply, now I solved! Unfortunately, every time I tried to update virtuemart the result was a blank page :(

but your version is unsafe and will fail when trying to send emails... you need to find what the fatal error is on update
