Hi All,
I have two sites, One running joomla 2-5 with VM 2.0.x and the other Joomla 3 running VM3
J2 - trojan.yourdotcom.com.au
J3 - trojan3.yourdotcom.com.au
I have manually migrated this site and having trouble getting the joomla product module showing featured products to work corectly.
I have switched templates, no change
reinstalled the product module - no change
searched the internet - no luck
It is a clean install of J3 and VM3
can anyone help i have spent hours trying to solve it. You can see on the J2 site that it works as expected but the J3 site, it has no styles and no js
I have renamed the override so it does not cause a problem, tried the Beez template and removed module class suffix so it is just bare VM. I tried switching off VM JS in the backend config under template settings and ticked load VM css just until i get it working.
any help appreciated
thanks in advance
Leah
Which VirtueMart 3.x version? One of the VM testers has reported a problem with the featured module with VM3.0.17.6 - but there is no problem with my 3.0.17.6 test site.
Joomla 2 site:
Php 5.4.36, Joomla 2.5.28, VM 2.0.24c
Joomla 3 site
Php 5.4.36, Joomla 3.6.2, VM 3.0.14
QuoteJoomla 3.6.2, VM 3.0.14
you should be on VM3.0.16 with J3.6.x -- but prob nothing to do with the module problem
fixes the mail problem

thank you for posting that. I updated VM to 3.0.16, still no luck.
I am wondering what script is called for the mod_virtumart_product. I cannot find a script called anywhere in the help or mo file (perhaps i don't understand how it works internally). I am trying to check what js script it needs to control the slider incase there is a conflict somewhere
Quotewhat js script it needs to control the slider
what slider? There's no slider in a std. vm products module...
if your talking about the "ON SALE NOW" etc on trojan.yourdotcom.com.au they are certainly not VM std. modules
Yes it is the standard VM Product module, I see now what has happened. There was an override created, even though I disabled it i thought it was a slider by default becuase it was sliding on the J2-5 site. The overide uses widgetkit to make it slide. Thanks anyhow for your help, otherwise i could have been going in circles a bit longer. looks like i will have to find a non-standard module rather than re-code this. Someone else created it
