Sub categories not showing if no product in parent category, when i add a product in the parent category, the sub categories show up.

I Have the menu parameters set to Show categories = yes and Show child categories in the configuration set to = yes

Exemple: http://www.cleancombustion.se/products.html = No products in the category and the the 7 sub categories not visible

Exemple 2: http://www.cleancombustion.se/products/spares-wares.html = 1 product published in the parent category and the 2 sub categories are visible.

Joomla 3.6 and and VM 3.0.16 and using VM files and no overrides

Please advice...
