Hi friends
Simple question, but hard to answer?
Akeeba started announcing some time ago, "I have an obsolete PHP version. My site is running on PHP 5.4.45... yada, yada,,, I should update to PHP 5.6 or later".
I asked the server management team if they could do the upgrade on my VPS and they sure could, but they asked: Will your site run well on PHP 5.6?
Good question. So,,, I have postponed the upgrade until I know it's safe. But how can I tell? Who can tell?
Any ideas or suggestions?
Regards

Joomla 3.5.1 and VirtueMart 3.0.17 both are very much compatible to PHP 5.6, even PHP 7.
Most of mine are on php7 now and there is a noticeable speed increase on busy sites
