Title: Bug with Virtuemart Access Control
Post by: JCSL on April 15, 2016, 08:16:11 AM
I want to give access to certain user to back-end but only to Virtuemart component and no other Joomla .

1. I have created a new group and called it Virtuemart ( Group parent Registered or Manager or Administrator —> I have tried all of them). I have created a new user and assigned him to this Group.
2. Tried to go to Permissions in Virtuemart and change the permission from Inherited to allowed but the permissions do not change but stay instead " Not allowed ". For other components permissions change as required.
3. I have also tried setting the User i have assigned to the group Virtuemart as Vendor to see if this makes any difference but still I can not change the permissions in Virtuemart Access Control ... Permissions remain " Not allowed"
4. Probably this is some kind of bug with the new version of Virtuemart or Joomla since if i put Virtuemart group in SuperUser Groups then the Virtuemart access rights are all enabled but still can not be modified and in this case permissions to other components though can be changed ( i.e give no access to articles ) they do not have any real effect on the user ( still he can do all things that the super admin can do ).

I have read anything i have found on the internet on setting up virtuemart access control but i can not find a solution to this problem
