Hi all,
When I add a Product Category image and put text in the 'Image Alt-Text' field it does not come through to the source of the front-end view.
I'd really this to get this working for SEO purposes and to also alter the 'title="<?php echo $this->category->category_name; ?>"' element so that it also uses the custom 'Image Alt-Text' field.
Please cant somebody help on this and let me know what the code should be and name and location of the php file to edit.
I'm baffled.
An example URL where this occurs (or not as the case may be) is http://profilecreations.co.za/catalogue/hospitality
Looking forward to hearing from someone in the know as I cant find an answer anywhere.
Thanks in advance ;)
well -- the first thing is the current latest stable is VM3.0.14 .. have you done a test to see if this has the same problem?
In any case your install is out of date and vulnerable.. all normal update warnings apply... if u don't know what I mean search this forum re updating
Hi GJC,
Thanks for your reply.
I''ve now updated to VM 3.0.14 and the problem has somewhat worsened in that now all the category images have vanished.
(e.g. http://www.profilecreations.co.za/catalogue/hospitality/visitor-books)
The images are visible at the back-end.
Also I see all my product page thumbnails have broken and aren't shown, only the main zoom-on-hover image is showing.
I figure there's an override somewhere but don't know where to find the respective php files and what to change.
I'm stumped. :-\
Please help.
Thanks
the handling of thumbnails has changed some what from 3.0.12
