I'm using Joomla 3.4.8 and Virtuemart 3.0.12. I have setup my Safe Path above the public_html directory. Have uploaded my mp3 files to the folder in my Safe Path. I then synchronize the files in that folder to Virtuemart. Virtuemart recognizes the files and syncs them. However when I go to media files and then click on the link for the mp3 file there, I get taken to a 404 error page. For some reason the mp3 files title is recognized but access to the actual file is denied.
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any help!
why would u put files u want to be publicly accessible above the public_html folder?
You only put them there if they are NOT for the public but.g. you sell them and provide a means of downloading

What goes in the Safe Path folder besides the invoice folder, key folder. Don't you put the actual files that you are selling in there also? You mean the only thing that goes in the Safe Path folder is the invoice folder with the invoices from sales?
selling yes... but that means they are NOT available to the public.. if they were why would I buy when I can just access them?
something like Istraxx download plugin can access and deliver them once they are paid for

I set up that pathway right, were talking about the same thing. All my files are in the home directory, the same folder where my invoice and key folders are located. I bought that plug-in, earlier today and I've been trying to get it to work correctly. I don't know if your the developer for it but I submitted a ticket on the extensions page with my problem I'm having with it.
