In the back end I am getting this error: Error
vmError: The path for invoices seems to miss the correct file permissions Safe Path /home/shopbeva/public_html/administrator/components/com_virtuemart/xR23oP-safe_path/

I've confirmed the path is correct (changing it throws a worse error about the safe path missing)
I've confirmed the folder has 755 permissions and has the same owner as my other folders.

I've checked the forums for suggestions but come up empty. Suggestions?

forgot to mention, Joomla 3.4.8. VM 3.0.13.4

maybe an uppercase problem? Did it work with vm3.0.12?

I don't know if it would have worked in previous versions...

But I have confirmed that the path is correct. If I change it at all I get an error about the safe path missing.
