Hi,
I have a joomla website with the helix 3 template, now i installed virtuemart but the checkout card and the address change form are different from my joomla pages.
example:
picture 1 is the layout from the joomla user edit page
picture 2 is the layout from the virtuemart address edit page
is there a way to make the layout from the virtuemart the same as from joomla?
(i selected the same templates)
Yes, use template & css overrides. http://docs.virtuemart.net/tutorials/templating-layouts.html
If this is a store you only need to use the VM form.
thanks for the reply

what do you mean with this?
in a VM store you don't want to use any of the Joomla user management.. so no J login or account registration etc.. hide it all .. just use the VM stuff
Ok, but i am building a site with a webshop and where people can post articles too (blog)
well.. in this case (you let a simple registered visitor blog?) then I would still just allow VM registration etc
They are then still regged in Joomla as normal and user groups etc can be assigned..
The problem is allowing joomla reg only gives u a user and pass.. then they go shopping and get confused as to why they are asked to more or less "do it again" (they aren't but are asked for address details etc)
Up to you
Yes i want people to be able to post ideas of the products i sell.
But i understand what you mean, i will try out what suits best for me.
I still need to edit the layout of VM because it's a little bit crappy as it looks now.
But thanks for the advice!
BTW .. it will only need some css changes to make the VM reg look like the joomla one
Ok thats nice, can you tell me what changes?
free work? just what I need.. ;)
Well i am not that familiar with css mods, i can sort it out but that would take a lot of time.
If you can fix it i am willing to pay for it, how much would that cost?
