Hi,
I am trying to save the Configuration page in Virtuemart and after a long delay ~1 min, it ends up with an error page "405 Not Allowed nginx/1.8.0". I wanted to find out someone has figured out the solutions to it.
Someone posted the same issue on the forum a while ago but the thread ended without providing any viable solutions. I posted in the thread hoping to get the help from someone contributed on the same issue.

Yours is not the same as the others, which were PHP resource issues.

The error "405 Not Allowed nginx/1.8.0" is caused by the nginx server you are using.  Check your browser console as that may report the exact problem, or ask your host to check.

This is happening exactly how the issue was described somewhere else.
Every other Save and Update operation works fine. It's only the Configuration and Tools options which screw it up.
We are hosting with HostGator . Is that the resource issue with the host?

When Browser's Back Button is pressed. The following warnings are also displayed.

Warning
alterColumns alterKey not finished, please rise execution time and update tables again
compareUpdateTable alterKey not finished, please rise execution time and update tables again

@kash99  we have had several reports of poor hostgator resources, and I found another report of an Nginx error reported.

The new version will only work on the language tables, when the language got actually changed. It may relieve the problem

We've been using Hostgator for years without any issue with their resources. It's sad to see that the host is no longer capable of supporting latest versions of Virtuemart adequately specially when the issue occurs only on 'Config' and 'Tools' tabs. Perhaps the db operations are not optimized resulting in more resource consumption.

Thank you jenkinhill and Milbo for your support and feedback!
@Milbo Just read your last reply. That would be wonderful. Looking forward to that. That will save us from a lot of trouble.

Vm shows for me 8 MB. So it could be interesting, how much languages you use and how much products you have.

I have only two products and only one English language. The problem occurs even with a fresh install with no products and no changes made to language.

My only contribution would be that in the last month two new clients that came to me with various performance and resource issues when on Hostgator are now very happy Bluehost.com clients

And I recently switched two from HG to Unitedhosting.com for performance reasons.
