Title: mailfunction in "Ask your question about this product" fails

In the website www.keyboard-centrum.nl there is the possibility for visitors to ask a specific question about an article. E.g. on page http://www.keyboard-centrum.nl/nl/assortiment/digitale-piano-s-vleugels/home-piano/nu1-detail you see the button "Stel een vraag over dit product". Clicking it opens a dialog. All looks OK until the message is writen: the counted characters remain 0 and when I press "Verzenden" I get the result as attached.
Is this problem related to the mail-server or else.? Do you have some suggestions or the solution??

Versions?   Which mailer it set to use in Joomla Config?

test on the standard template Protostar -- this is Artiseer    :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

your loading jquery at least twice if not 3 times

Hello,

The problem of sending the message is solved by setting up a proper SMTP account (Thanks to SiteGrounds' help).
But when I type a message the number of characters is not counted and stays 0.

By the way my Joomla version is 3.4.5 and Virtuemart 3.0.12
