Hi!
VM sends an email to the vendor, when a new customer registered.
How can I deactivate this feature?
Kind regards,
Gerald
Notification Mail to Administrators
Joomla Users-> Options?
Hello!
Thank you for your reply.
The option 'Notification Mail to Administrators' is set to NO.
@ VM team: Could it be, that VM ignores this Joomla setting?
Kind regards,
Gerald
EDIT: I actually do not find the Joomla user setting 'mail_to_admin' anywhere in VM source code. Therefore on registering a new user VM sends an e-mail to the vendor, not regarding the Joomla setting mentioned. Either VM should regard this Joomla setting, or even better ... provide an own setting, where the admin can choose, whether the vendor should be informed about user registration or not. What do you think about that?

GJC answered you so naturally, that I would assume that GJC solved this question himself by using the joomla config.
VirtueMart does NOT send any registration email, it is done by the joomla code $user->save.

So, I had to correct myself.
vm send the email and did not check for the setting mail_to_admin

:) there is a question mark after my suggestion... meaning I don't know.. :) I like to know when a new registration is made
And it is after all -- just an email...

Maybe for a future VM version:
The admin of a website does not necessarily need to be the VM vendor.
The admin i.e. could not like to get emails on user registration, while the vendor wants to be informed, or vice versa.
So a new VM setting for chosing, whether the vendor should get an email or not, would be more logical and flexible.
Just an idea...
Best regards,
Gerald
Hello!
The latest fix unfortunately still does not work.
VM does not consider 'mail_to_admin' correctly.
Kind regards,
Gerald
Hi!
In version 3.0.18 this issue seems to persists.

What about this idea?
