I have Joomla 1.5.6 and VM 1.1.9 on my current site.
I am looking for someone that knows what they are doing to upgrade vitruemart to VM 3 in a day or two
I have joomla 3 and VM 3 installed on another site ready. If need be i can install Joomla 2.5 and VM 2 on another site if the process has to go 1-2-3.

Have you made a lot of hacks on the original site?
If you havent made core hacks, Theres a plugin called VMMigrate that can be used, even though it is a bit buggy.

perhaps, no plugin is needed in all. But you need to check if paiment gateway exist and shipping(or if core shipping by weight country can do the job)

Of course as Studio 42 wrote it is possible to solve without tools, but it can bring some extra comfort and usually the products include support if you need.

With regards to support, dont expect same day response from vmmigrator.
their tool is very good indeed, but i must say that sometimes you need to fiddle around with it to make it work. Most things go smooth but again.. make sure you have time to actually check everything.
i made 2 migration tests before i actually made the migration for a customer..
this is a customer i spend more than 6 months rewriting code and work with.. that ment i had to buy the component twice. since i thought that they would have solved a issue i raised before..

I have now bought your component twice for the same customer. And you are still having issues with your module migrations.
The "show title" of a module is NOT transferred. Can you please resolve this?
my issue is that on current site the modules have hidden their titles, but this is not set when i migrate to new site..
