[J2.5.28 / VM2.6.18]
Hello guys,
We currently do product discounts by using the "Override" field (Overwrite Final) in the Product Pricing panel. It shows up nicely on the front page, with the original price in strike-through, and the new lower price showing next to it.
The problem: custom field options which should affect the price, no longer affect it.
What we want: Custom field options should affect the discounted price. e.g. add/subtract the X amount of dollars/euros from the final discounted price.
Is this possible?
Thank you
Hello EvanGR,
Yes, it is possible but you need to do customization.
Thank you,
hellorain.
Hi,
Thanks for your reply, but it wasn't very helpful I'm afraid. What kind of customization?
Hi,
To have a calculated option from main price, then this need a custom field price in percent.
Currently, vm cannot set % price for standard custom fields.
This mean, to have % for custom field prices, you have to develop, buy or pay someone to do a plugin.

Patrick
Thank you.
We don't necessarily need a % value.
For example:
A product costs $120, and gets discounted to $100. The price $100 is shown as final.
If user selects a custom option, add $10 to the price. We don't care if the default product is discounted or not, the $10 cost is fixed.
We cannot do this at the moment. If the product is discounted, the custom option does not affect the price.
Hi,
Have you the same problem after adding product in cart?
Hello...
Yes.... The discounted product price is not affected by the custom fields. The product gets added to the cart with the fixed discounted price, no matter which custom options have been selected.
You use the override price option, which always sets the final price to the override, no matter which discount. It is the purpose of it. Just do not discount per override.
