I have run a small virtue mart store (currently VM2.6.18) for many years now...our volume has been small enough that generally when customers have problems they call and place an order with me over the phone. We are getting busier and I believe we are losing customers due to the horrible checkout process. It is unreliable and confusing especially to our audience which are older in age.
I need to fix this...and I'm looking for suggestions. The options that come to mind are:
1. Use a commercial OnePage Checkout plugin (Which one?)
2. Upgrade to VM3 (Will this help?)
3. Hire a commercial developer to come in and help fix it.
I'm open to any of he above...I'd like to hear anyone's thoughts on this. My website is http://www.hobbypcb.com/. In general I think the site is good...we will be expanding things to include a blog and some other stuff soon...the product pages look good I think. Its just the checkout that is confusing, crashes, has too many steps, etc. Whats the best option to make it better?
Thanks,
Curtis
My take on this is the simplest check out is step by step.. esp. for less internet savy clients give them one thing to choose and a big "NEXT" button to move forward...
Try this one I did.. https://www.neutecgroup.com/products/air-samplers/basic-air-detail
just add to cart and feel the confusion washing away... ;)
