Title: VM category menu seems to be caching even though all caching is off
Post by: dancingkazzaf on June 23, 2015, 18:35:53 PM
Hi,
I have Virtuemart 3.0.9 on Joomla 3.4.1.
We can't seem to get the Virtuemart category menu to update instantly. Sometimes, if you add a category it does not appear, or if you add a product to a category it takes a while to show up. It's not so bad with products, mainly categories. SEF rewrite has been turned off as that seemed to affect it and it seemed to improve a bit – products seemed to at least show up which they weren't doing before.
Every instance of caching has been turned off – in Joomla and Virtuemart and individual modules. Could there possibly be some caching I have missed. If you clear the Joomla system cache the changes show so it does appear to still be caching somewhere.
Any ideas anyone?
Here is a link to the site in its development:

Thanks all!

You can use a cache cleaner to make it quick & simple to clear Joomla caches. I have this one:  http://extensions.joomla.org/extension/cache-cleaner

Thank you, I have put that extension on. It seems to work well.
