i have just installed VM in to a template i have but the products are showing up smaller and to one side, i am not a coder or anything so i am kind of stuck.
can someone please help?

The problem is with your Shape5 template and also the size of thumbnails that you are using. You could use maybe 5 or 6 products per row at that image size.
Try making the thumbnail image width bigger, eg 200 px (leave the image height blank) Setting in Configuration/Templates.
For template problems you will have to ask Shape5
