Hi, I have had a fairly successful upgrade from both Joomla 2.5 ant Virtuemart 2

I am now running VM 3.0.9 and Joomla 4.3.1

My main problem is my products do not appear three in a row. I have ensured it says three in a row in both the shopfront setting and under the shop menu settings.

Looks like a problem with your Joomla template, try switching to Beez to check.
