Title: Revenue reports (Ehrm)
Post by: betterlead on May 18, 2015, 20:58:41 PM
Hi
I am just wondering, will the Revenue Report ever be a useful feature in Virtuemart? I was really hoping it would be fixed in version 3.
A serious revenue report is extremely important for the business.

Or is it me, simply not getting it? How to use it?

Cheers

What is your problem with it?

It's not sorting properly.
Say I want to check the top 50 seller products for the last year, I can't find out how to set it to give me the right result/statistics.
I'd like to be able to sort them after revenue net, number of sold, a s o.

See the image I have attached. This is what it looks like after clicking the column "Revenue net". Same problem in VM2.5 as in 3.

Edit. Can't attache any image. I get this:
An Error Has Occurred!
The upload folder is full. Please try a smaller file and/or contact an administrator.

Anyway, the sorting doesn't work.

So you problem is with ordering, if you use the report by product. Seems that the crowd considers this as a minor.

Well, if that really is the case, many have problems with priority, imho. How could it not be of interest, to see statistics over which products top your selling list?

I am a bit confused here... Am I not getting something?

Where a client store needs a better reporting system I suggest they use CSVI to export orders etc which gives them a csv file for import into Excel so they can analyse the data however they wish, or it can be imported into some other order/product management program as necessary.

Ok, thanks @jenkinhill

I'll buy that extension. It seems a wise thing to do.

I understand the sorting ability is more complicated to code than I ever will understand... ;)
