Print Page - product_sku in url instead of product

Hi,

I try to open a product-page with the SKU-number instead of the ID.

Like:
.../index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=productdetails&virtuemart_product_sku=ABCDSKU

The reason for this is, that I'm using a special software to "administrate" the products (JTL-WAWI - https://www.jtl-software.de/Warenwirtschaft-JTL-Wawi). This software is able to write invoices and offers. It don't know the product_id of a product in Virtuemart - But it knows the SKU.
So I would be able to put a link in a offer to the product in my webshop.

Is there any way to implement this in my virtuemart?

I doubt it - you need the product_id

The SKU is not a unique key
