Title: Error sending mail
Post by: rfilgueiras on April 21, 2015, 07:57:43 AM
Hello,

I am using joomla 3.4.1 and virtuemart 3.0.7.2.

When a buyer pays with his credit card, virtuemart doesn't send a mail (i have configurated in the backend to send an email "confirmed"), but if i modify the state of the order in the backend (for example by confirmed to other state), virtuemart sends the email well.

Which is my problem? Can you help me?

Thanks,
Rodrigo

you don't mention at all what payment plugin your using or whether the order is changed to "Confirmed" when a successful cc payment is made
The payment plugin handles these things

Quoteor whether the order is changed to "Confirmed" when a successful cc payment is made?

I say again - it is the plugin payment that is responsible for updating the status and triggering any downstream actions

if it isn't then contact the plugin developer

I suppose the plugin is updating the data, but the code is not mine.

man oh man -- you only have to look at your orders to see if the status is updated after a payment

officially give up now

I'm experiencing a similar error using

joomla: 3.4.0
Virtuemart : 3.0.8

Currently no emails regarding new order notifications are being sent. when a customers places an order we used receive and email notification, but after recent updates we don't receive any of the notifications.
after we change the status of the order from Pending to Confirm an email is sent to the customer, and yet no email is sen to the vendor.

shipping and payment options are set to virtuemart standard.

Any help will be appreciated, Thank you all.

Hello,
I have the same problem.  I'm running Joomla 3.4.3 and Virtuemart 3.0.9 on a PHP 5.5.26 platform.  I am using the Paypal payment plugin.  When an order is placed, no notification is sent to the vendor nor the buyer from the website.  Both the vendor and the buyer get a notification from Paypal.

I only see one place to enter an email address within Virtuemart - that is from the backend -- Components -- Virtuemart -- Shop -- Shopper information (3rd tab).  That is the only place that I have found in this version of Virtuemart to enter an owner's or vendor's email address (please advise if incorrect).

Any help is appreciated.
